Mortal Empires was originally supposed to be available on the release of Total War: Warhammer II (September 28, 2017). Right now, the map will not include the Realms of Chaos from the Total War: Warhammer 3. It ended up being released on Octowith the Mortal Empires update. Norsca was not playable in Mortal Empires when the campaign first released. Due to complications in development, Creative Assembly was unable to easily merge them in like the other races, and had to re-code them from scratch.
